Terms of Service

These terms are between you and Patrick Carroll (sole trader, United Kingdom), operator of FieldOpsNow ("the app"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and legally permitted to take part in the activities you use the app to coordinate (including any firearms, hunting, pest control, or land-access activities).

2. Safety — your responsibility

FieldOpsNow is a coordination tool, not a safety guarantee. You are fully responsible for your own safety and the safety of people, animals, and property around you at all times. Every user must take every reasonable care — check firearms, follow the law, confirm boundaries, agree safe zones with the landowner, and use your own judgement in the field.

Location tracking, on-site presence, geofence alerts, notifications, and any other feature of the app may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable due to GPS signal, mobile network, device battery, background restrictions, or service outages. Do not rely on the app as your only means of communication or safety. Patrick Carroll and FieldOpsNow accept no responsibility for injury, loss, damage, legal liability, or any other consequence arising from your use of the app.

3. Your account

Keep your login credentials confidential.
Give accurate account information (name, role, syndicate).
You are responsible for everything done under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

Break any law, including firearms, wildlife, trespass, or data-protection law.
Harass, threaten, bully, or discriminate against other users.
Post hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content.
Impersonate anyone else or misrepresent your permissions on a farm.
Track people who have not consented to being tracked by the app.
Attempt to break, reverse-engineer, or overload the service.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the messages, sightings, photos, and other content you upload. By uploading, you grant FieldOpsNow a non-exclusive licence to store and display that content to the other members entitled to see it (your syndicate, farm owner, chat participants). You are responsible for having the right to upload it.

6. Moderation

Any user can report a message or user, or block another user, from inside the app. We may remove content, suspend, or terminate accounts that breach these terms — normally with notice, immediately when needed to protect users. Reports are triaged within 48 hours where possible.

7. Privacy

Your data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Service availability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Patrick Carroll and FieldOpsNow are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any personal injury, property damage, loss of data, or legal liability arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).

10. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account. We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
